Moses Wetangula, the Speaker of the National Assembly, has pleaded with members of Parliament to halt hurling Cabinet Secretary that have been summoned by the House.  ,
Wetangula revealed that members of the Executive reached away to him on January 27 during the People of the Members of the National Assemblies ‘ Retreat in Nakuru, complaining of harassment by the Members serving on the Parliamentary Committees, and urging the politicians to be quiet.
The Speaker stated,” I have told some of your coworkers before that I get a lot of problems that some of us bullying members of the executive appearing before us, which I discourage you.”
He made it clear that members of the house committees who had spoken before the house committees also complained about being pried on and urged them to stretch some mercy, especially if the issues were minor in nature.
” I once witnessed a situation where an organisation came to life. They had a very small inspection comment of about 400, 000 that was observable, but the Parliament’s story was not very good, the Speaker mentioned.
He urged the politicians to move through all issues that are currently being discussed in the house within the three-month legal deadline. Wetangula provided suggestions for how to run the boards.
Wetangula continued,” I urge the committees to use written entries to make decisions, refrain from inviting agencies with fresh accounts, praise them, lower rescheduling meetings with Ministries and agencies, and choose a sub-committee design of considering inspection reports,” Wetangula continued.
The Speaker instructed committees to take funds into account when selecting institutions for the sermon, noting that the budget used to carry the auditing may exceed those of the institutions summoned to the chambers.
Kimani Ichungwah, the Leader of the Majority in the National Assembly, echoed his views and demanded that the Members take action to improve the effectiveness of the legislative process.  ,
Samuel Njoroge, the Clerk to the National Assembly, emphasized on his component that it is crucial to conclude home business before the 2027 vote to stop business expenses from leaking onto the upcoming Parliament.  ,
