When you build a big enough site with a big enough software, you’ll eventually discover that CSS presents challenges at level. At Meta, it’s the same as it is, which is why we open-sourced StyleX, a CSS option at level. StyleX combines stable CSS with CSS-in-JS for improved performance. It provides nuclear style of components, deduplicates definitions, and provides a straightforward API for developers.
At businesses like Figma and Snowflake, StyleX has become the norm. It’s the accepted style convention for Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and Strands these at Meta.
